Floor lamp
The shape consists of nothing more than two slender tubes. One cylinder sheds light on the other; which in turn reflects the light again. The result: a vertical sculpture with a zephyr glow floating in the middle. l1 measures 187 centimeters, the exact length of its maker, and is assembled out of aluminium, a material one can manipulate down to the millimeter. De coster’s goal is to create a tension within space with an absolute minimum of means. With this floor lamp he might have reached his height. This is a true minimalistic totem.
