Walter Gropius

Walter Gropius was born in 1883 and to this day is regarded as one of the paragons of classic Bauhaus design. He studied architecture at the beginning of the twentieth century before entering the design bureau of Peter Behrens in 1907, along with Mies van der Rohe and Corbusier. As an independent architect and industrial designer, Walter Gropius went on to design the famed Gropius door handle, which was first produced by S.A. Loevy in 1923. Tecnoline is the only company, authorised by the heirs, to produce the original Gropius handle.
The Walter Gropius handle collection is available in two base materials - solid cast brass and stainless steel and four different finishes with various types of angular and rounded plates, lever roses and escutcheons.
